Colorium 2024 is International Exhibition by Gallerium, a captivating journey into the vibrant world of colors and their profound impact on art. Officially opening today, August 17 and continuing until October 17, 2024, this unique exhibition is more than just a display of beautiful works—it’s an experience that touches the heart and soul.
Marita Setas Ferro was selected to exhibit one of her soft sculptures at this online exhibition: The sculpture “Grey Anemones” is a textile sculpture that belongs to the collection Things of Nature. The pieces presented in this collection are artistic representations of natural elements. These elements of the sea and land (corals, anemones, starfish, shells) are seen through a magnifying glass and reinterpreted through textile techniques – knitting and crochet, worked to create “appetizing” volumes. The different threads used make it possible to approximate natural textures, creating sensations that provoke pleasure, especially in two senses – the visual and the tactile. These “Soft Works” are light, soft and moldable pieces that invite you to touch, embrace, feel and love.
