From 12 to 31 October 2024, at the Cultural Hypogeum of the Italian Naval League Section of Matera-Magna Grecia in Via Fiorentini 103-107 in the Sassi di Matera, is hosted "Stories of Identity - From hidden places to daily life", an international art exhibition.
Marita Setas Ferro, sculptor, designer and founder of the brand Marita Moreno has Symbol #2 leather sculpture chosen for the exhibition.
The exhibition is curated by art historian Carmela Loiacono and promoted by Lega Navale Italiana Sezione di Matera-Magna Grecia and MaterAcqua, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Matera, Province of Matera and Ambiente Basilicata.
"Every work of art tells a story made up of emotions, memories, culture and experiences that are part of the life of each artist."
The exhibition Stories of Identity aims to observe, analyze and share the stories behind the works of art, in order to become a visual narrative, a continuous narration by images in a constant dialogue with the visitor.
Artists are invited to share any kind of story and personal experience, starting from the most hidden places of their soul and touching everyday life.
All the selected works are stories of identity, capable of facing and managing the changes of the contemporary world, letting themselves be contaminated by it and preserving their own uniqueness.
It will be possible to visit from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 17.00 to 19.00. Free admission.
