October 2025 - Marita Setas Ferro Selected for the XV Florence Biennale 2025

Marita Setas Ferro has been selected to present her work at the XV Florence Biennale, which will take place from 18 to 26 October 2025 at the iconic Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.

Recognized as one of the most prestigious international exhibitions of contemporary art, the Florence Biennale brings together hundreds of artists and designers from across the globe. This invitation represents a moment of significant international acknowledgment for Marita, who will be representing Portugal. It celebrates both her distinctive artistic language and the originality of her approach to contemporary textile sculpture.

For this edition, Marita will present three textile sculptures of strong organic expression, works that explore the delicate boundaries between matter and form, fragility and permanence. Each piece unfolds as a dialogue between texture, space, and emotion—where material becomes movement and stillness reveals transformation.

Through her ongoing exploration of textile as a sculptural medium, Marita Setas Ferro continues to redefine the expressive possibilities of fiber-based art, shaping matter into a poetic and profound presence.
