From 17–27 September 2025, Marita Setas Ferro’s textile sculpture “Fading Luminescent Corals” was exhibited at the prestigious Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries, London.

Inspired by the glowing corals found in the depths of the ocean, the work contrasted vibrant orange and coral tones—symbols of life—with grey, evoking the dying corals. This visual dialogue offered both aesthetic impact and a reminder of the urgent need to protect the planet and its fragile ecosystems.

The piece formed part of the artist’s ongoing series “Things from Nature” (since 2016), where she explores the richness of textures through textile sculpture, transforming thread into organic forms that engage both sight and touch.

The RSMA Annual Exhibition is recognized as one of the leading showcases of contemporary marine-inspired art. Being included in this renowned event was a true honor, allowing Marita Setas Ferro to share her vision with an international audience and contribute to a collective reflection on the beauty and vulnerability of the marine world.
